Funeral Services for Virginia Arbutus Wood 79, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-September 16, 2010-10:30 AM at the Grace Baptist Church in Milan, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memoiral Park. Pastor Dale Thatcher will officiate.



Visitation will be held on Wednesday-September 15, 2010-2:00 PM-6:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.



Virginia was born on November 13, 1930 in Boomer, West Virginia and she passed away on September 12, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.



She is survived by her companion: Marvin Taylor of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Roger Dale Wood and wife Michelle of Winnemucca, Nevada, William Wesley Wood and wife Cidy of Claremore, Oklahoma and John Edward Wood of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Daughters: Patsy Galcatcher and husband Thomas of Foyil, Oklahoma and Kimberly Ann Martinez and husband Phillip of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brothers: Richard Dickerson of Newark, Delaware, Jim Dickerson of Barrett, West Virginia, Clarence Dickerson, Jr. of Wiltensville, Kentucky; Sister: Lynn Gent of Barrett, West Virginia; 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her husband: Lewis Dale Wood; Parents: Clarence Dickerson and Elsie Dickerson; Great Grandson: Daniel Lewis Duran; Brothers: Harry Dickerson and Ben Dickerson; Sisters: Jean White, Ruth Dickerson and Mary Dickerson.



Pallbearers will be: Robert Duran, Dale Taylor, Caroll "Stretch" Taylor, Allen Moore, Bob Schmitt and Randy Giffard.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Phillip Martinez, Thomas Galcatcher, Marvin Taylor and Greg Gallegos.
