Funeral Services for Velma Erma Hayes 98, of Milan, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-January 23, 2014-11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Grants, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Thursday-January 23, 2014 from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church.
Velma was born on March 26, 1915 in Pueblo, Colorado and she passed away on January 19, 2014 in Milan, New Mexico.
She is survived by her loving Children: David Ward and wife Anne of Corvallis, Montana, Robin Nichols and husband David of Spring, Texas, Glennie Young of Kingman, Arizona, Cleo Delaney of Cripple Creek, Colorado, Dixie Naico and husband Kenneth of Council Bluffs, Iowa, April Simonson of Cloride, New Mexico and Phyllis Spencer and husband Danny of Milan, New Mexico; Son-in-law: Clark Stauffer of Milan, New Mexico; 25 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great Great Granchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Loving Husband: Donald Hayes; Daughter: Joan Stauffer; Parents: John Lefler and Grace Barbour Lefler; sisters: Ida Ryan, Inez Beery and Mary Prince; Granddaughter: Tracy Simonson; Son-in-laws: Edgar Young, Alfred Delaney, Ted Simonson.
Pallbearers will be: David Nichols, Dan Spencer, Jeff Simonson, Donald Spencer, Dustin Spencer and Edgar Young.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Clark Stauffer and Kenneth Naico.
