Valerie, 41, daughter of the late James Olguin Sr. and Ruth Olguin, has passed away unexpectedly, on August 18th, 2023. She was born in Farmington, New Mexico and was later raised in Grants, New Mexico. Valerie was a loving and caring person who was devoted to family and friends. She enjoyed listening to music. Whether it be Spanish, rap, oldies or anything else that would remind her of times growing up with her siblings, cousins and friends. She cherished those memories and loved to laugh and tease each other about those fun and crazy times. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her nieces, nephews and little cousins. She treated them as if they were her own. She had an energetic spirit and humored all those around her with her unpredictable personality. She'd light up the room with her smile and her positive and lighthearted energy left an everlasting mark in your heart. She was kind and humble. Valerie dedicated her life to caring for her mother until her lasting days. She was by her side day in, and day out and never wanted to leave her mother unattended. She loved with her entire heart and showed it. She was a selfless, beautiful soul. She is survived by her Godmother, Carol Gallegos, sisters Pearl Olguin and Audrey Olguin (Mario Garcia), brother James Olguin Jr. (Brandi Vigil), Goddaughter Izabella Murillo, nephews Jeremy Silva, Andrew Murillo; James III, Jude and Josiah Olguin and nieces Angelina, Selina, Liliana, Gabriella Olguin and Great niece Aubreyana Otero.
