Funeral Services for Twila Myrtle Slater 95, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-June 13, 2013-10:00 AM at the Central Baptist Church on Sage Ave. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Lonnie Jordan will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday-June 12, 2013 from 6:00 PM til 8:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church.
Twila was born on July 25, 1917 in White Owl, South Dakota and she passed away on June 8, 2013 in Grants, New Mexico.
She is survived by her children: Gary Slater and wife Elaine de Trujillo of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Debora Knowles and husband Richard of Sacramento, California; Sister: Alma Smith of Cordalee, Washington; Grandchildren: Tammy Slater, Christopher Slater, Dustin Slater, Hope Hackney, Gina Knowles, Jody Knowles, Becky Knowles and Richard H. Knowles; Great Grandchildren: Triston Slater, Samuel Slater, Jessilyn Martinez, and Andrew Corona.
She is preceded in death by her Husband: Samuel Slater; Parents: Henry Rapp and Viloet Simon Rapp; Son: David Slater; Brothers: Alvin Rapp and Samuel Rapp; Sisters: Dorothy Andrews and Hilda Roche.
