Services for Tony Vandever, 76, of Prewitt, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-September 11, 2008-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Thoreau Community Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Martinez will officiate.

Mr. Vandever was born on March 19, 1931 and passed away on September 5, 2008 in Grants, New Mexico.

He is survived by his wife: Grace D. Vandever of Grants, New Mexico; Daughters: Rita Willie of Thoreau, New Mexico and Margaret Largo of Grants, New Mexico, Regina Vandever of Crownpoint, New Mexico, Flora Vandever of Gallup, New Mexico; Sons: James Vandever of Haystack, New Mexico, Albert Largo of Haystack, New Mexico, Art Vandever of Crownpoint, New Mexico, Tony Vndever, Jr. of Crownpoint, New Mexico, Robert Vandever of Prewitt, New Mexico and Andrew Vandever of Nazlini, Arizona; Brothers: Harry Vandever of Haystack, New Mexico and Edison Vandever of Prewitt, New Mexico; 33 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Tom Vandever and Hanna Vandever; Sisters: Lucy Kee, Zani Vandever and Anna Mustache; brothers: Edward Vandever and Willie Vandever.
