Services for Tommy Doyle Tate, 78 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-March 31, 2009-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will be in the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Lonnie Jordan will officiate. Full Military Honors by Fort Bliss Army Base.
Mr. Tate was born on April 10, 1930 in Quanah, Texas and he passed away on March 27, 2009 in Grants, New Mexico. He was retired from the US Army as Staff Sargent First Class, Serving in Korea and Vietnam. He lived for a time in Mentmore, New Mexico before moving to Grants.
He is survived by his children: Michael Tate of Copperas Cove, Texas, Randy Tate of Arizona and Thomas Tate of Oklahoma and one Granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Donna Mae Tate; Parents: Thomas Doyle Tate and Molle Bell Grooms Tate; Sister: MaryJo Tate.
