Funeral Services for Major Thomas L. Squyers 84, of Milan, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-February 22, 2007-11:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church in Milan, New Mexico. Pastor Dale Thatcher will officiate. Burial will Military Honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3221 will be at the Grants Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday-February 21, 2007-4:00-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Mr. Squyers was born on May 7, 1922 in Polar, Texas and passed away on February 18, 2007 in Milan, New Mexico. He retired from the US Air force with the Rank of Major after 20 years. He was a pilot and Instructor of Jet mechanics. He served in World War II and flew Jets from 1953-1961. He then retired after 20 years of Civil Service with the Federal Govt.
He is survived by his wife: Lola Squyres of Milan, New Mexico: Children: Thomas Squyres, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Gerald Lee & wife Sharon Squyres of Corpus Christi, Texas, Cynthia Ann & husband, Martin Price of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Lynn & husband Arthur Wojcteshowski of Murray, Kentucky, Step Son, Gary & wife Amy Pearson of San Rafael, New Mexico, Stepson, Freeman & wife, Mary Ann Lusk of Milan, New Mexico, Step Daughter, Phyllis Reese of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents: William Tommy Lee Squyres and Velma Squyres; Brother: Weldon Squyres and Sister: Wanda Squyres.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday-February 21, 2007-4:00-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
