Thelma Jaramillo

Funeral services for Thelma Louise Jaramillo, 69, will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at 10 a.m. at The Potter's House Christian Center in Grants. Public visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.



Visitation will be held on Tuesday-November 29, 2011-5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.



A beloved mother, grandmother and sister, she was born on Dec. 6, 1941, to Irene and Ted Pena, Sr., and passed away on Nov. 28, 2011, following a lengthy illness.



Thelma's spirit of love, laughter and humor will be greatly missed. She was one to open her home not just to family, but also to anyone who would come to her door.



She loved to cook and entertain friends and family. The joy of knowing her personality, love and companionship is one that will be missed for a long time.



She is survived by sons: Teddy, Beltran, Jr., Jeffrey, Donald Jaramillo and wife Alaina, all of Grants, and Paul Jaramillo and wife Pat of White Rock; daughters: Edwina Sanchez and husband Larry, Erma Jaramillo and husband Danny, both of Grants, and Hennrietta Goncalves and husband Tony of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren: Vanessa Garcia and husband Joshua of Milan, Paul Jaramillo, Jr., of Los Alamos, Patrick Jaramillo and wife Rosa of Espanola, Nicole Flaska and husband Michael of Denver, Colo., Suzanne Jaramillo of Denver, Colo., Regina Means and husband Cory of Midland, Texas, Danelle Jaramillo of Grants, Isaiah Jaramillo and companion Traci Rodriquez of Milan, Kyle and Melissa Goncalves of Tomball, Texas, Jeanette and companion Chris Amy of Austin, Texas, Alyssa Jaramillo of Grants, Isaiah and Kaila Sanchez of Grants and Kiara Cisneros of Grants; great-grandchildren: Johnny Aquilar, Neveah Garcia, Jazmine Vigil, Leticia Gonzales, Jeff Martinez, Gabriella Jaramillo, Clarissa Jaramillo and Isaac Portillo; brothers: Ted Pena, Jr., of Los Lunas, Pete Pena of Rio Rico, Ariz., Jimmy Pena of Albuquerque, Joey Pena of Kimball, S.D.; sisters: Virginia Long and husband Bill of Grants, Jackie Pena of Bernalillo, Karlene Ochoa and husband Jimmy of Springerville, Ariz., sisters-in-law: Lupe Jaramillo and Lydia Pena of San Rafael; close cousins: Dianna and Salvador Marez of San Rafael; very close friends: Josephine Blea, Gerrie Vail, Nora Jaramillo, Adelina Apodaca and Angie Sanchez.



Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Beltran, Sr.; grandsons: Samuel and Mark Jaramillo; mother-in-law: Delfina Carillo; brother: Edward Pena and his wife Isidora; brothers: Bobby and David Pena; sisters: Mary Alice Jewell, Millie Chavez and Francis Michael and her husband Albert; sisters-in-law: Connie Mata and Berna Pena; and brother-in-law: Delano Jaramillo.



Pallbearers will be: Paul Jaramillo, Jr., Patrick Jaramillo, Isaiah Jaramillo, Kyle Goncalves, Joshua Garcia, Cory Means and Johnny Aguilar.



Honorary pallbearers will be: Steve Chavez, Daniel Chavez, Michelle Chavez, Albert Chavez and Edward Padilla.
