Teofilo Savedra, a cherished member of the Grants community, passed away on January 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and family values. Born on September 9, 1934, Teofilo exemplified kindness and strength throughout his life, forging deep connections with family and friends alike.
He was a devoted son of Alfredo Savedra and Manuelita Maestas, whose nurturing spirits shaped his values and character. Teofilo was blessed with a loving family, including his son Butchie (Susie) and daughters Roberta and Kathy (Marc), who brought him immense joy. To his grandchildren—Joseph, Allison, Denise, and Jackie—he was a guiding light, imparting wisdom and warmth. As a great-grandfather, he delighted in the laughter of Adrian, Adrianna, Lilly, and Aiden, watching them grow and thrive with a proud heart.
Teofilo's love extended to his sisters-in-law, Tommie and Margaret, with whom he shared many special moments. Throughout his life, his family remained at the forefront of his heart, reflecting the dedication and commitment he showed to each member.
As we remember Teofilo, we also honor those he has reunited with in the afterlife—his beloved wife Lillian, his grandson Robert, and his siblings Reyes, Francis, Connie, Dolores, Elias, Gilbert and Paul, along with his son-in-law Albino Jaramillo. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and their memories continue to illuminate the shared journey of love and togetherness.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Teofilo's life and the profound impact he had on all. The services will be held at St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Grants, New Mexico. A Rosary will commence on January 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:30 AM, culminating with a burial at Grants Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
Teofilo Savedra's essence will forever remain woven into the fabric of those who loved him. His kindness, laughter, and unwavering commitment to family will continue to inspire and bring solace to all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of his beloved family.
