Sophie was born on February 11, 1954 in Llano, New Mexico and she passed away on August 29, 2019 in Milan, New Mexico.

She is survived by her Sons: Matthew Herrera of Milan, New Mexico, Tim Herrera and Adrian Rodriguez both of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Pauline Rodriguez of Alcolda, New Mexico, Isabell Rodriguez of Ogito, New Mexico, Sandra Gonzales of Penasco, New Mexico and Lori Arguello of Taos, New Mexico; Brothers: Alfonso Tafoya, Jr. and Paul Tafoya both of Llano, New Mexico and Wilfred Tafoya of Ogito, New Mexico; 11 Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Husband: Parents: Alfonso Tafoya and Dulcina "Garcia" Tafoya
