Rosary and Funeral Mass for Socorro F. Chavez 67, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-December 29, 2012-9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Socorro was born on January 16, 1945 in Pecos, New Mexico and she passed away on December 25, 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She is survived by her loving husband: Leo Chavez of Grants, New Mexico; Mother: Pena Quintana of Los Alamos, New Mexico; Children: John A. Chavez and wife Marie of Aurora, Colorado, Donald A. Chavez of Gallup, New Mexico, Leona L. Ortiz and Husband Toby of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Tanya Lujan and Husband Sonny of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brothers: Joe Quintana of Farmington, New Mexico, Leonard Quintana of Pecos, New Mexico and Lorenzo Quintana of Pecos, New Mexico; Sister: Tina Chavez of Los Alamos, New Mexico; 9 Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Father: Juan Quintana; Sister: Lucye Leffingwell; Brother: Juan Quintana; Niece: Beverly Quintana.
Pallbearers will be: Dominic Ortiz, Angelica Chavez, Destiny Ortiz, Jaclyn Chavez,Emberly Chavez, Ashley Quintana, Sarah Quintana, Donna Grace Chavez and Zachary Lujan.
