Bluewater Village

On March 30, 2025, the world said farewell to the indomitable spirit of Sharon Marie Holley, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born on July 23, 1949, in the picturesque town of Grand Junction, Colorado, Sharon cultivated a life rich in love, warmth, and unforgettable memories. Her passion for nurturing those around her painted her life’s canvas with the vibrant colors of family and community.

Sharon’s journey took her to Grants, New Mexico, where she proudly graduated from Grants High School. A woman of many talents, she found immense joy in her flower and vegetable garden, creating a sanctuary that mirrored her nurturing nature. The simple act of canning preserves became a cherished tradition, one that filled her family’s table with delicious home-cooked meals, particularly during the Thanksgiving feast, which she meticulously orchestrated each year. Her culinary talents were a testament to her love for gathering family together, evoking cherished moments that will forever linger in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.

A staunch supporter of her children and grandchildren, Sharon was a frequent presence at numerous sporting events, where her cheer and encouragement could be felt by players and spectators alike. Each clap and shout from the stands served as a testament to her boundless devotion to her family, a role she embraced with unparalleled enthusiasm.

Sharon's legacy is deeply etched in the hearts of her surviving family members. She leaves behind her children: Michael Mills (Michelle), Gary Mills (Kim), Colleen Lee (Dennis), Janet Farley (Terry), Steve Holley (Cathy), and Diana Kerr (Rick). Her spirit will also live on through the joy brought by her 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished her wisdom, kindness, and the unwavering support she so freely offered.

In addition to her immediate family, Sharon is survived by her brothers, Dickie Justice (Margaret) and Leonard Justice (Erni), who, along with numerous friends and family, will remember her not only for her nurturing heart but also for her lively laughter and loving presence.

Preceded in death by her cherished husband, Robert Holley, as well as her beloved parents, Ila and Richard Justice, Sharon now finds solace in the embrace of her loved ones who have left this world before her.

A Graveside Service will be held in her honor at Grants Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 500 West Roosevelt Avenue, Grants, New Mexico, on April 7, 2025, commencing with a gathering at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
