Funeral Services for Sam Long 91, of Prewitt, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-June 12, 2013-10:00 AM at the Prewitt Assembly of God, Prewitt, New Mexico. Burial will follow on Private Family Land in Haystack, New Mexico.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday-June 12, 2013 from 9:00 AM till 10:00 AM at the Church.
Sam was born on September 14, 1921 in Prewitt, New Mexico and he passed away on June 8, 2013 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a retired Uranium Miner.
He is survived by his children: Clarence Long of Prewitt, New Mexico, Clarton Long of Milan, New Mexico, Ethel Laco of Prewitt, New Mexico, Dorothy Long of Prewitt, New Mexico, Gladys Charley of Prewitt, New Mexico, Rose Long of Milan, New Mexico and Fannie Chavez of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Alice Calladitto of Prewitt, New Mexico, Betty Garcia of Prewitt, New Mexico and Nellie Willie of Prewitt, New Mexico; 30 Grandchildren, 64 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Hannah D. Long; Parents: Joe B. Long and Yehnilth Bah Chacho Long; Brothers: Jack Long and John Long; Sister: Helen Calladitto.
Pallbearers will be: Sheldon Largo, Adrian Chavez, Les Laco, Sr., Clarton Long, Joshua Willie, VonErick, Largo.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Charley, Leonard Long, Sherman Long and Matthew Willie.
