Funeral Mass for Rita Saavedra Diaz 91, of Farmington, New Mexico will be held on Friday-August 12, 2011-10:00 AM at St. Vivians Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday-August 11, 2011-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.

Rita was born on January 7, 1920 in San Rafael, New Mexico and she passed away on August 10, 2011 in Farmington, New Mexico.

She is survived by her son: Joe Richard Diaz and wife Linda of Yuma, Arizona; brothers: Elias Saavedra of San Rafael, New Mexico and Teofilo Sonny Saavedra and wife Lillian of Grans, New Mexico; Sislters in Laws: Lena Diaz of San Mateo, New Mexico and Nabora Saavedra of Grants, New Mexico; 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Manuel Diaz; Parents: Alfredo Saavedra and Manuelita Saavedra; Daughter: Mary Francies Shaw; Son: Alfred Diaz and Brother: Gilbert Saavedra; sister: Reyes Baca.
