Funeral Services for Roy Barton Yazzie, Sr. 79, of Hospah, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-July 20, 2017-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Larry Jack will officiate.
Roy was born on November 1, 1937 in White Horse Lake, New Mexico and he passed away on July 16, 2017 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
He is survived by his Loving Wife: Rena Largo Yazzie of Hospah, New Mexico; Sons: Roy B. Yazzie, Jr., Anthony B. Yazzie both of Jacksonville, Florida, and Rick Yazzie of Grants, New Mexico; Daughters: Alyce Becenti of Laguna, New Mexico, Nora Yazzie-Logan of Gastonia, North Carolina, Elizabeth Singer, Esther Dunec and Michelle Yazzie all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brothers: James Yazzie, Sr. of White Horse Lake, New Mexico, David Mescal, Jr. of Sand Springs, New Mexico; Sister: Alice Hudson of Sand Springs, New Mexico; 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his Son: Troy B. Yazzie, Sr.; Parents: Chester Yazzie and Martha Mescal Yazzie.
Pallbearers will be: Roy B. Yazzie, Jr., Anthony B. Yazzie, Rick B. Yazzie, Jett Yazzie, Jason Betone, Derrick Tso Yazzie.
