Memorial Services for Rosie G. Baca 77 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-March 3, 2016-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the services.
Rosie was born on January 22, 1939 in San Rafeal to Pedro and Francesquita Gallegos. She passed away on February 27, 2016 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico after a brief illness.
She was married to Felix Baca for 49 years until his death in 2006. Rosie worked as a teacher's aide and bus driver for the San Rafael Elementary School for many years.
She was a devoted wife, sister, a loving and generous aunt and friend to many.
Rosie was artistic in painting, ceramics, sewing, and many arts and crafts. She was an avid bowler and loved the outdoors, camping and hunting with family members.
She is survived by her sisters: Marcella Blacklock and Josie Mills, and multiple generations of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Felix; siblings Solomon and Ambrosio Gallegos, Romelia Archuleta and Mary Minson.
