Rosary and Funeral Mass for Rose V. Ortega-Bergin 84, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-October 4, 2011-9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Private Burial will be held at a later date.
Rose was born on March 5, 1927 in Pecos, New Mexico and she passed away on September 30, 2011 in Grants, New Mexico.
Rose was a faithful member of St. Vivian Catholic Church. she loved spending time with her family, visiting the Senior Citizens Center, playing bingo and visiting the local Casinos. She was a loving wife, mother and Grandmother. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband: Jack Bergin of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Raymond Ortega and wife Joanna of Milan, New Mexico, Joe Ortega and companion Michelle Chavez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Viola Baca and husband Juan of Ridgecrest,
California, Evelyn Tradup and husband Steve of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Lupe Ortega and companion Joseph Marquez of Grants, New Mexico, Anna Ortega and companion Pablo Montano of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Stepson: William Bergin and wife Mela,; Stepdaughters: Jacqui Haines and husband Mark, Victoria Berginand fiance Rusell Holm; Brother: Filemon Vigil of San Rafael, New Mexico; Sisters: Inez Otero and husband Vincent of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Gloria Barela and husband Isidoro of San Mateo, New Mexico; 14 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephewsand cousins that loved her very much.
She is preceded in death by her first husband: Claudio Ortega; Parents: Antonio Vigiland Guadalupita Vigil; Brothers: Baratolo Vigil, Thomas Vigil and Mauro Vigil; Sisters: Nicolasa Garcia and Josephine Ibarra.
Pallbearers will be: Joseph Baca, Joey Baca, Jacob Baca, Tommy Gallegos, Michael Almanza, Joe Steve Ortega, Brenda Gonzales and Joseph Marquez.
