Funeral Mass for Rose B. Chavez, 92, of Gallup, New Mexico will be held on Monday-October 2, 2006 - 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Rose was born on April 26, 1914 in the McGaffey, New Mexico area and passed away on September 27, 2006 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Cathedral Grade School. She and her late husband were the owners of F & R Market on Wilson in Gallup.
She is survived by her children: Robert Chavez of Gallup, New Mexico, Donald Chavez of Gallup, New Mexico, Lorraine Gruda of Gallup, New Mexico and Barbara Chavez of Mckinleyville, California: 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren; one Sister Pat Pettigrew of San Diego, California
She is preceded in death by her husband: Fermin Chavez; Parents: Benito Baca and Luciana Castillo Baca and a number of Brothers and Sisters.
