Services for Rose B. Taddy-Chavez, 83, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-May 26, 2007-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Father Matthew Keller will be the celebrant.
A rosary will be held on Friday-May 25, 2007-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Rose was born on January 2, 1924 in Grants, New Mexico and passed away on May 23, 2007 in Grants, New Mexico. Rose was a member of the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, and was a 3rd Order of St. Francis. She has been a resident of Grants since the 1950's.
She is survived by her Daughters: Theresa and husband Raymond Padilla of Grants, New Mexico, Shirley and husband Abel Saavedra of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Margaret Davalos of Denver, Colorado, Lillian and husband Steve Cochran of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lorraine Taddy and husband Carlos Naboa of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Linda and husband Girard Sanchez of El Paso, Texas and Georgia Dimas of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sons: Richard A and Wife Lorraine Taddy of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Silvio G. and wife Barbara Taddy of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jimmy Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joe and wife Jo Chavez of Morarity, New Mexico; Sisters: Sarah Griggs of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rosella Smith of Magdalena, New Mexico, Mary Sanchez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Della Peralta and husband Placido of Los Lunas, New Mexico; Brothers: Joe G. Baca of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Pete Baca of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 33 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchild.
She is preceded in death by two husbands: Silvio Taddy and Nick Chavez; Parents: Tranqulino and Elauteria Baca; Brother: Henry Baca; Sister: Carmen Jacobs; Grandchildren: Antonio Davalos and Adrianna Taddy Benavidas and the Aunt "Mother who raised her: Theresa "Madresita" Garcia.
Pallbearers will be: Robert Padilla, Eric Saavedra, Paul Cochran, Aaron Davalos, Kevin Taddy, Ricardo Taddy and Patrick Benavidez.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice.
