Funeral Mass for Richard Eugene Tapia,Sr. 50 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-December 3, 2008-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday-December 2, 2008-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Richard was born on February 1, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and passed away on November 29, 2008 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He is survived by his wife: Theresa Tapia of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Shananon Llanas and husband Carlos of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Eugene Tapia, Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mother: Pauline Tapia of Grants, New Mexico; Brother: Manuel Tapia of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Patsy Zamora and husband Johnny of Grants, New Mexico and Joanne Trujillo and husband Nelson of Milan, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Carlos Llanas and Chantel Llanas both of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his father: Esidro Tapia.
Pallbearers will be: Justin Zamora, Alex Marquez, Monique Passmore, Carlos Llanas, Jr., Anthony Tapia, Dion Lopez.
Honorary Pallbearers: Eugene Tapia, Manuel Tapia.
