Richard Martinez

Services for Richard Martinez, 69, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Friday-December 28, 2007-2:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary. Pastor Louie Martinez will officiate. Private burial will take place at a later date.



Visitation will be held on Thursday-December 27, 2007-5:00-8:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.



Richard was born on December 10, 1938 in Truchas, New Mexico and passed away on December 25, 2007 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was retired from Kerr McGee Mines. Was a member of the Genesis Worship Center and worked on all of his children homes including the remodel of the Compassion Mortuary and the Genesis Worship Center. He will be deeply missed.



He is survived by his wife: Louisa Martinez of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Louie Martinez and wife Yvonne of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Arthur Martinez and wife Renee of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Susan Crow and husband Tommy of Grants, New Mexico, Andy Martinez and wife Gloria of Grants, New Mexico and Angela Madrid and husband Tony of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mother: Ermalinda Martinez of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Ruth Saavedra and husband Clemente of Grants, New Mexico, Isabel Romero and husband Joe of Leadville, Colorado, Priscilla Valdez and husband Joe Ray of Grants, New Mexico and Lori Martinez of San Rafael, New Mexico; 17 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and 3 on the way.



He is preceded in death by his father: Ricardo Martinez; Grandsons: Isaac Crow, twins, Tommy and Richard Crow and Robert Anthony Crow; Father in law Manuel Gallegos.



Pallbearers will be: Tania Crow, Amanda Prairie, Derick Gonzales, Nicole Martinez, Eric Martinez, Renee Martinez, Noah Martinez, Timothy Madrid, Josh Madrid, Tony Madrid, Gerred Prairie, Angelo Ramirez, Alex "Hollywood" Solis, Isabel Martinez, Mikah Saenz, Racquel Saenz and Joel Saenz.
