Funeral Mass for Rena B. Smith, 76, of Acoma, New Mexico will be held on Monday-October 10, 2005-10:00 AM at Santa Maria Catholic Parish in McCardy, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the McCardy Cemetery.
A Rosary will be recited on Sunday-October 9, 2005-7:00 PM at the home of Althea Rodriguez on Skyline in Acomita, New Mexico.
She was born on January 27, 1929 at the Pueblo of Acoma and passed away on October 7, 2005 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She is survived her husband: Samuel J. Smith, Sr. of Acoma, New Mexico; Children: Robert Garcia, Althea Rodriguez, Janice Pilcher, Arlene Wise, Joy Thompson, Faith Smith, Samuel Smith, Jr., Loretta Smith and Michael Smith; Sister Miriam Salvador; Brother: Herbert Brown, Angus Brown, and Matthew Brown; 37 Grandchildren, 68 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Samuel Smith, III, Ernest Thompson, Aubrey Smith, Rudy Smith, Sr., Kevin Folsom, David Folsom, Jr., Matthew Brown, Jr., Cyrus Yazzie, Dion Smith, Alfred Jones, Jr., Eric Yazzie and Jarvis Morningdove.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Samuel Smith, SR., Robert Garcia, Samuel Smith, Jr., Michael Smith, Herbert Brown, Angus Brown, Matthew Brown, and Vincent Rodriguez.
