Raymond Shucavage

A memorial service for Raymond Shucavage of Grants, New Mexico will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 19 at the Compassion Mortuary, 120 N. 3rd Street, Grants, New Mexico. A reception will follow.
Raymond was born in Frackville, Pennsylvania on May 2, 1924. He passed away in Grants, New Mexico on February 25, 2011. He was 86 years old.
He served in the US Navy during WWII and was a 1953 graduate of the Colorado School of Mines. He held management positions at Bethlehem Steel Mining in Pennsylvania and Canada, and Gulf Mining in New Mexico. He resided in Grants for 31 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer, and was a member of the Elks Club.
He is survived by his loving wife: Jacqueline Shucavage of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: David Shucavage and wife Sandy of Wilmington, North Carolina and Eric Shucavage and wife Monique of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Daughter: Lynn Kelly and husband Patrick of Corrales, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Samantha Shucavage and Kathryn Shucavage of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Niall Kelly of Corrales, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Zigmund Shucavage and Veronica Cleam Shucavage and siblings.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
