Ralph was born on October 5, 1921 in DeMoines, New Mexico to Andrew and Cora (Parker) McQueary he was the youngest son of six children-two boys and four girls and he passed away on October 14, 2012 in Flowermound, Texas where he had recently moved.

In1949 shortly after marring Jerry Goforth they moved from Raton, New Mexico to Grants, New Mexico; where Ralph began his business career with a Standard Oil Service Station. During his 60+ years in Grants, Ralph opened another service station and became very active in the community. Many young people who worked for him credit him with helping them start out their life right.

As a leader in the community he served on the City Council, as County Commissioner and led many formal and informal projects to improve and beautify the community. Ralph was generous to a fault. Many people are grateful to this day for how he helped them in a difficult situation. Ralph never asked for anything in return. Because he lived the life of a servant leader. As a deeply religious man he knew what Jesus had asked of his followers. In Philippians 2:4-8, Jesus tells his followers, "Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant,..."

Ralph is survived by his wife, Jerry; daughters: Jean Divine and Nancy Walker; grandchildren: Gail and Mike Brittain, Connie and Gene Mirabal, Michael Divine and fiancee Gerogen Martinez and Jason, Mikalee Walker and Matthew Walker; Great Grandchildren: Cassie and Trevor Rogers, Cody Brittain, Colton and Scarlett Walker; sister: Linnie Damron and numerous nieces and nephews.
