Paul Rivera

Funeral Mass for Paul R. Rivera, 62, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-July 24, 2007-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Father Alberto Avella will be the celebrant.



A rosary will be recited on Monday-July 23, 2007-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Paul was born on January 12, 1945 in Las Vegas, New Mexico and passed away on July 14, 2007 in Grants, New Mexico. He was the youngest of 10 children. He graduated from Robertson High School in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He loved being with his children, singing, gardening and being in the mountains.



Mr. Rivera is survived by his wife: Wilma Mary Rivera of Grants, New Mexico; Son: Vincent Rivera of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Daughters: Paulette Lackey and husband Brian of Grants, New Mexico, Christie Baca and husband Joey of San Mateo, New Mexico; Brothers: Willie Rivera and wife Regina of Grants, New Mexico, Arthur Rivera of El Pueblo, New Mexico, Tony Rivera and wife Alice of El Pueblo, New Mexico; Sisters: Alice Griego of Grants, New Mexico, Gloria Lopez and husband Joseph of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Barbara Aguilar of Grants, New Mexico, and Mary Bustos of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Valeri Silva of Grants, New Mexico, Aaron Silva of Grants, New Mexico, Brittany Lackey of Grants, New Mexico, Dominic Baca of San Mateo, New Mexico, and Victoria Baca of San Mateo, New Mexico and sister in law: Alice L. Rivera of LaHunta, Colorado



He is preceded in death by his parents: Gasper Rivera and Antonia Ortiz Rivera; Brother: Manuel Rivera; Sister: Josie Chavez; Sister in Law Claudia Rivera; Brother in laws; Andy Griego, Baylon Aguilar, Manuel Chavez, and Triny Bustos



Pallbearers will be: Bobby Baca, Raymond Marez, Orlando Marez, Michael Chavez, Miguel Chavez, and Aaron Silva.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Valeri Silva, Dominic Baca, Brittany Lackey and Victoria Baca.



Brian Lackey will do the Eulogy.
