Graveside Serivces for Paul Dixon, 81, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-June 28, 2006-11:00 AM at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Garland Moore will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday-June 27, 2006-6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Mr. Dixon was born January 10, 1925 in Quapaw, Oklahoma and passed away on June 21, 2006 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Airforce serving 3 years. He moved to Grants in 1959 working in the Uranium Mines and drilling rigs. He also worked for the University of New Mexico for 6 years at the Airbase in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He is survived by his wife: Virginia Dixon of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Steven Dixon of Perryton, Texas and David Bro of Jasper, Mo.; Daughter: Debra Sanchez of Jackson, Wyoming; 14 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Don Dixon and Vera Ditson Dixon of Jasper Mo.; sons: David Paul Dixon and Eugene Dixon.
