Funeral services for Norris "Ace" Reynolds, 78, will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Grants. Burial will be in the Luna Cemetery in Luna.
He was born on June 23, 1932, in Luna and passed away on March 30. 2011, in Albuquerque.
An underground miner for 45 years, he loved the mountains, hunting and being outdoors. He loved talking about old times and being with family, especially his great-granddaughter, Micaela Salazar, his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley; sons: Dean Reynolds and wife Carol of Columbus, Mont., and John Reynolds of Bloomfield; daughters: Jody of Milan, Arlene Johnson and husband Ron of Bloomfield; stepsons: Pete Merayo of Monroe, Utah, Effard Merayo and Eddie Merayo of Bluewater; brothers: Kay Reynolds and Teddy Reynolds; sister: Norene Sanders; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Asel Van Reynolds and Alcesta Hamblin Reynolds
Pallbearers will be: grandsons Wayne Reynolds, Ron Reynolds, Chad Reynolds, Gordon Merayo, Sean Merayo and Douglas Salazar.
