Funeral Services for Nellie Beatrice McElroy 83, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-October 29, 2014-11:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Tom Taylor will officiate.
Nellie was born on March 22, 1931 in Gory, Texas and she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2014 in Grants, New Mexico.
She is survived by her loving husband: Billy E. McElroy of Grants, New Mexico; Son: Tim McElroy and wife Linda of Hot Springs, South Dakota; Daughter: Taryn Smith of Hereford, Texas; Grandchildren: Shawna Garcia and husband Paul of Grants, New Mexico, Sam Alderman of Texas, Rachel McElroy of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Robyn Farmer of Great Falls, Montana, Valarie McElroy of Spearfish, South Dakota, Veronica McElroy of Rapid City, South Dakota, Adam Smith of Hereford, Texas, Aleia Smith of Hereford, Texas, Shyra Smith of Hereford, Texas and April Smith of Hereford,
Texas; Brother: Johnny Lee Jones of Kentwood, LA; and 9 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son: Ricky McElroy; Parents: Clarence E. Jones and Ruby B. Trimbell Jones; Brother: Ed Jones; sisters: Jennie Moore and Wanda Jones.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Brown, John Hocker, Randy Roberts, Val Roybal, Frank Edwards, Robert Pouges.
