Nancy Valencia

Rosary and Funeral Mass for Nancy M. Valencia 70, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-January 13, 2010-9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. Burial will be held on Friday-January 15, 2010-1:00 PM at Grants Memorial Park.



Visitation will be held on Tuesday-January 12, 2010-3:00 PM-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.



Nancy was born on March 22, 1939 in Ribera, New Mexico and she passed away on January 8, 2010 in Grants, New Mexico. She was retired from the Grants Cibola County Schools.



She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years: Teodolo "Ted" Valencia of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Jeffery Valencia and wife Emily of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Clifford T. Valencia of Grants, New Mexico, Ruth Valencia of Grants, New Mexico, and Sandy T. Valencia of Grants, New Mexico, Suzette L. Valencia of Grants, New Mexico Leslie Murretta and husband Freddie of Grants, New Mexico; Brother: Jose Ruben Medina and wife Viola of Raton, New Mexico; Sisters: Celia Montoya and husband Lucio of Butte, Montana, Clorinda Montoya of Ribera, New Mexico and Josephine Gonzales of Socorro, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Vanessa E. Valencia of Grants, New Mexico, Brittany Carrillo of Grants, New Mexico, Jay T. Valencia of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Allora Carrillo of Grants, New Mexico, Allen Michael Valencia of Grants, New Mexico; Great Grandchildren: Joshua N. Valencia and Tearza E. Valencia both of Grants, New Mexico.



She is preceded in death by her parents: Jose C. Medina and Escolastica Augilar Medina; Brothers: Antonio Medina and Carlos Medina and a Sister: Felice Griego.



Pallbearers will be: Freddie Murrietta, Jerimie Prue, T.W. Jaramillo, Reyes Jaramillo, Timmy Jaramillo, and Rosendo Jaramillo.



Honorary Pallbeares will be all of her nieces and nephews.
