Michael Kiefer

Funeral Mass for Michael Leo Kiefer 56, of Bluewater, will be held on March 27, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Vivian's Catholic Church in Milan. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. The Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.



Visitation will be held on March 26, 2008, from 4-6 p.m. at Compassion Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on March 26, 2008, at 7 p.m. at the church.



Mr. Kiefer was born on Dec. 26, 1951, in Sharon, Penn., and passed away on March 23, 2008, in Grants. A resident of the area for more than 30 years, he was first employed by Stewart Brothers Drilling Co. where he worked on the drilling rigs. During his time off from Corrales Trucking, Inc., where he was a driver, he enjoyed working on the family home. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. The loves of his life were his wife, Patti, and granddaughter, Mia Rose. A man who loved life, he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.



He is survived by his wife: Patti Kiefer of Bluewater: sons: Leo Kiefer and Andrew Kiefer, both of Albuquerque; daughter: Leslie Kiefer of Albuquerque; mother: Margaret Kiefer of Longview, Texas; sister: Paula Stanton of Longview, Texas, and granddaughter Mia Rose.



He was preceded in death by his father: Leo Kiefer and brother: David Kiefer.



Pallbearers will be: Paul Bateman, Jeff Dee, John Bosnjak, John Stanton, Mike Murray and Dennis Bateman.



Honorary pallbearers will be: Leo Kiefer and Andrew Kiefer.
