Rosary and Funeral Mass for Melvin R. Marquez, Sr. 67, of San Mateo, New Mexico will be held on Thursday July 3, 2014-9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.

Melvin was born on August 18, 1946 in San Mateo, New Mexico and he passed away on June 26, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He is survived by his loving wife: Roberta Blea Marquez of San Mateo, New Mexico; Son: Melvin Marquez, Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Daughter: Andria Radosevich and husband Bill of Edgewood, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Cameryn Radosevich and Rylen Radosevich of Edgewood, New Mexico and Zeus Marquez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brother: Karl Chavez of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Shelina Gonzales of San Mateo, New Mexico, Bertha Lister of Elko, Nevada and Mary Ann Gergle of Loveland, Colorado.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Octaviano Chavez and Delia Ortega Chavez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be:Bill Radosevich, Eugene Gonzales, Lloyd Ortega, Gene Aragon, Benny Lucero, Joe Chavez, Nato Tena, Charlie Sandoval.
