Memorial Mass for Mary (Chavez) DeLaTorre, 83 of Gallup, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-April 9, 2016-11:00 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Gallup, New Mexico.
Mary was born on June 5, 1932 in Gallup, New Mexico and passed away on March 25, 2016 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
She lived most of her life in Gallup, being born and raised there. She Loved Gallup...lived in California and Arizona for about 12 years before moving back to Gallup.
Mary worked a number of jobs through the years. Volunteered as a Pink Lady at RMCH for several years, was an avid square dancer with Frank and also enjoyed working the Election Polls, but mostly just being a loving wife to her beloved Frank is what she cherished the most.
She is survived by her Daughter: Cynthia Merriman and husband Edd whom she was staying with in Rio Rancho; Grandchildren: Madeline Groves, Pamela Rangel, LeslieAnn Rangel, Cleora Messingale, Vincent Delatorre and Lynette Benham; 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild: Brother: Richard Chavez: Sisters: Jennie VanWeart and Patsy Chavez. Also many much loved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her Loving Husband: Frank Delatorre; Son: Vidal Delatorre; Brothers: Franklin Chavez, Steve Chavez, Bill Chavez and Ralph Chavez; Her Parents: Pat and Lucy Chavez.
