February 21, 1923 — January 14, 2012

Rosary and Funeral Mass for Martha G. Duran 88, of Gallup, New Mexico will be held on Friday-January 20, 2012-9:30 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church in Gallup, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Fr. Larry Bernard, OFM will officiate.



Visitation will be held on Friday-January 20, 2012-8:30 AM till 9:30 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church.



Martha was born on February 21, 1923 in Cerrillos, New Mexico and she passed away on January 14, 2012 in Gallup, New Mexico.



She was a member of the St. Francis Church Choir, St. jeanne Jugan Sisters of the Cross, Gualupana St. Francis, Christian Mothers, Pasolight Lady Fatima (Blue Army) and Chapel of Adoration.



She is survived by her children: Leo Duran, Jr. of Greenville, Kentucky, Gladys Duran, of Gallup, New Mexico, Pita DeArmond of Gallup, New Mexico, Viola Ramirez of Gallup, New Mexico, Salli Bortot of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Evelyn Richards of Gallup, New Mexico, Felix Duran of Kirtland, New Mexico and Leona Talamonte of Amarillo, Texas; Sister: Mary Chavez of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 26 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Leopoldo Duran, Sr.; Parents: Bonifacio Gabaldon and Guadalupe Montoya Gabaldon; Son: Lafayette Duran; Daughter: Clarisa Ann Duran; Brothers: Albert Gabaldon and Lloyd Gabaldon; Grandsons: Thomas Romero and Mark Anthony Duran; Granddaughter: Mary DeArmond; Great Great Grandson: Dominic DeArmond; Daughter-in-law: Sharon J. Duran and Son-in-law: John Joseph Sanchez,



Pallbearers will be: Eddie DeArmond, Jr., Kevin Duran, Eddie Bortot, Jeff DeArmond, Godfrey Ramirez, Patrick Clifton, Fabian Talamonte, Jr., Felix Duran, Jr., Leopoldo Duran, III.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Thomas Romero, Mark Duran and the remaining Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.



In Lieu of flowers the family would like donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1900 Mark Ave., Gallup, New Mexico in the name of Martha Duran.
