Funeral Mass for Margarito M. Martinez 87, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-September 14, 2010-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.
A rosary will be held on Monday-September 13, 2010- 7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Mr. Martinez was born on February 23, 1923 in Dawson, New Mexico and he passed away on September 9, 2010 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a verteran of the US Navy. He had worked in the Coal Mines and Uranium Mines.
He is survived by his loving wife: Lucy R. Martinez of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Armando Martinez and wife Olivia of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Antonio F. Martinez and wife Marie of Rio Rancho, New Meixco; Daughters: Mary Margaret Michael of San Mateo, New Mexico, Natalia Escamilla of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Patricia Ortega of Los Lunas, New Mexico; Stepdaughters: Bernice Johnston and Husband Brad of Phoenix, Arizona and Linda Dunivan of Hayward, California ; Stepson: Jess Summall of Dallas, Texas; Brothers: Mike Martinez and wife Lorna of Salt Lake City, Utah, Alfaro Martinez and wife Donna of Kansas City, Missiouri, Martin Martinez and wife Cora of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Froylon Martinez and wife Clara of Denver, Colorado, Lionel Martinez of Phoenix, Arizona and Arcelia Martinez of Phoenix, Arizona; Sisters: Artencia Rivera and husband Martin of Fontana, California, Linda Adams and husband Daivd of Barstow, California and Ernestina Walker of Barstow, California and Many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Felix Martinez and Bonicia Martinez; Brother: Gilbert Martinez and Sister: Carlota Tellez.
Pallbearers will be: Vince Ortega, Leonard Ortega, Milton Ortega, Andy Michael, Daniel Salazar and Stanley Michael.
