Manuel Maestas

Funeral Mass for Manuel Antonio Maestas 78, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-April 23, 2013-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will be held at the Grants Memorial Park with full Military Honors by the VFW Lodge 3221.



A Rosary will be held on Monday-April 22, 2013-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Manuel was born on March 1, 1935 in Las Vegas, New Mexico and he passed away at this home on April 16, 2013 in Grants, New Mexico. He was the Customer Service Director for the City of Grants from January 28, 1958 thru January 28, 2003. He served our country for 4 years in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He served as a officer for the Grants Police Department.



He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.



He is survived by his children: Theresa Quintana and husband Andy of Milan, New Mexico, Carol Romero and husband Rudy of Farmington, New Mexico, Debbie Vigil and husband Kenny of Grants, New Mexico, Manuel Timothy Maestas of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Sonya Salazar and husband Edward of Grants, New Mexico, Lisa Gonzales and husband Robert of Bluewater, New Mexico and Veanna "Sugar" Rodarte and husband Elmer of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Francis Roybal of Denver, Colorado, Luise Rubio of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Katie Abeyta of Vallejo, California; 19 Grandchildren and 33 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Mary Ann Maestas on November 20, 2011; Parents: Frank Francisco Antonio Maestas and Maria Manuela Bustos Maestas; Brother: Richard Maestas; Sisters: Marylou Lucero, Agnes Sandoval, Petra Garcia and Lucy LeDoux.



Pallbearers will be: Max Ortega, IV, Daniel Marquez, Andy Quintana, Jr., Eric Barela, Andrew Trujillo, Lee Salazar, Joel Rael and Antonio Salazar.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: All of his grandchildren and great Grandchildren.
