Memorial Rosary and Funeral Mass for Magdalena M. Torrez 74, of San Rafael, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-June 6, 2012-9:30 AM at San Rafael Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the San Rafael Community Cemetery.



Magdalena was born on September 19, 1937 in Williams, Arizona and passed away on June 1, 2012 in San Rafael, New Mexico. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother to all who knew her. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.



She is survived by her 13 children: James Torrez and wife Josephine of Grants, New Mexico, Juan Torrez of Grants, New Mexico, Joel Torrez of Grants, New Mexico, Jackie Torrez of San Rafael, New Mexico, Jessie Torrez and wife Tamera of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alejandro Torrez of San Rafael, New Mexico, Pauline Chavez and husband Anthony of San Rafael, New Mexico, Rebecca Cardenas and husband Antonio of Benton, Arkansas, Margaret Chavez and husband Orlando of Grants, New Mexico, Veronica Torrez-Montano and husband Raymond of San Rafael, New Mexico, Nadine Rodriguez and husband Roger of Milan, New Mexico, Catherine Erives and husband Javier of Grants, New Mexico, Alexandria Veloz and husband Edwardo of Goodyear, Arizona; Brother: Sal Balderas of Lemon Grove, California; Sisters: Charolotte Lopez of Williams, Arizona and Irene Gabaldon of Flagstaff, Arizona; 34 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren; Brother in law: Ramon Torrez of San Rafael, New Mexico; Sisters in law's: Ernestine Castillo of Grants, New Mexico and Mary Archunde of Phoenix, Arizona.



She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Andres A. Torrez; Birth Parents: Juan Montoya and Frances Balderas Montoya; Her parents that raise her: Fidel Licon and Beatrice Licon; Brother: George Montoya; Sister: Sophia Chavez and a Granddaughter: Yvonne Chavez.
