Luis Chavez

Rosary and Funeral Mass for Luis Jose Chavez, 75, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-March 15, 2007-2:00 PM at St. Vivian Catholic Church, Milan, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Father Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant. Military honors by the VFW Lodge3221.



Mr Chavez was born on June 27, 1931 in Juan Thomas, New Mexico and passed away on March 12, 2007 at his home in Grants, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.



He is survived by his wife: Corinne Chavez of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Anthony and wife Pauline Chavez of San Rafael, New Mexico, Arthur Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Danny and wife, Yolanda Chavez of Grants, New Mexico, and Charles and wife Becky Chavez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Sister: Susie Gallegos of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brothers: Augustine Martinez of Bernalillo, New Mexico, and Demetrio Martinez of Estancia, New Mexico; 9 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Geraldo and Isabel Chavez, sister: Berna Herrera; Brother: Jose Garcia and a daughter in law: Dorothy Chavez.
