Lloyd Ortega

Services for Lloyd G. Ortega, Sr. 79, of San Mateo, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday-December 9, 2009-1:00 PM at the San Mateo Baptist Mission. Burial will follow at the San Mateo Cemetery. Pastor James Pouges will officiate.



A Prayer service will be held on Tuesday-December 8, 2009-7:00 PM at the San Mateo Baptist Mission Church in San Mateo, New Mexico.



Lloyd was born on July 29, 1930 in San Mateo, New Mexico and he passed away on December 7, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a life member of the VFW Lodge 3221 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a Veteran serving in the Korean War.



He is survived by his Sons: Lloyd Ortega, Jr. and wife Arcelia of San Mateo, New Mexico, Charles Ortega and wife Araceli of San Mateo, New Mexico; Daughters: Sheila Grant and husband John of San Mateo, New Mexico and Veda Ortega and husband Ricardo Padilla of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sister: Esther Bostic and husband JB of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his wife: Velma Ortega; Parents: Mariano Ortega and Marcelina Chavez Ortega; Sisters: Isabel Marquez, Delia Chavez and Louise Ortega; Brother: Salamon Ortega.



Pallbearers will be: Arsenio Salazar, Jason Ortega, Brian (BJ) Ortega, Chandler Grant, ReyLynn Largo, Arturo Candelaria.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mariano Padilla, Juan Diego Padilla, Benny Lucero, Melvin Marquez, Salamon Marquez, Marisol Ortega, Dixie Anderson.
