No Public Service for Linda Lou Smith 65 of Bluewater Village, New Mexico will be held.
Linda was born on May 19, 1951 in Fayetteville, West Virginia and went home on November 11, 2016 in Bluewater Village, New Mexico.
She moved to Bluewater Village in 1956. She gave birth to two beautiful girls, Ramona Jean Smith of Grants, New Mexico and Tammy Sue Smith who preceded her in death.
Although she was a tiny little lady, that stood all of five feet three inches tall she was a spitfire with a personality much larger than herself. She could be super sassy or quite with her fillings. She also was a very clever lady who had a deep love for her family. Her long fiery hair matched her personality as well. She was a great cook and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Dominque Luois Romero of Joplin, MO and Amelia Rae Romero of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She worked for Kerr MeGee Mines in the late 70's as a miners helper. After the mines closed she held different positions around the area, until she landed up at Tomahawk Bar in Prewitt, New Mexico as a bartender. She enjoyed people and listening to their stories and tells of adventure. She worked there many years and although it wasn't the best job she did it with a smile. She was also a very advate reader and enjoyed reading for hours in a King Book as long as she had her other favorite buy her side. " A cold Dr. Pepper"!
Linda was diagnosed with cancer in 2011. She was a very strong lady and a fighter till the very end.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Sister and Friend. She will be missed, but will never be forgotten by the ones her life touched.
