Services for Lewis Bennett 82 of Milan, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-November 12, 2009-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park with full Military Honors by the VFW Lodge 3221. Pastor Clyde Clark will officiate.
Mr. Bennett was born on September 24, 1927 in Chester, West Virginia and he passed away on November 7, 2009 in Milan, New Mexico. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving during World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Bonnie Bennett of Milan, New Mexico; Sons: Roy Bennett of Milan, New Mexico and James Bennett of Silver City, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Roy Bennett and Lottie McCoy Bennett; Sister: Elva Adkins.
Pallbearers will be: Dr. Terry Menning, Larry Diaz, Joe Diaz, Roy Bennett, Tad Fish, Jerry Talley.
