Funeral Services for Leroy James Jim, Jr., 21, of Grants, will be held Saturday-January 13, 2007-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
He was born in Phoenix, Ariz., on Jan. 10, 1985, to Rita and Leroy Jim, Sr., and was raised by Rita and James White, Sr. Mr. Jim belonged to the Nakai Din/ Clan, born for the Tangle People Clan and passed away on January 9, 2007 at his home.
A resident of Grants since 1992, he attended Grants schools and was active with the ROTC and track and field programs. He was a mechanic, welder and part-time medicine man.
Mr. Jim is survived by his girlfriend Dee Yazzie of Pinon, Ariz.; his father Leroy Jim Sr., of Pinon, Ariz.; his stepfather James White Sr., his sisters Sandra Jim and Melody White; his brother James White Jr. and many aunts, uncles and cousins on the Navajo Reservation and in Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mother Rita Mae White in 2005.
