Rosary and Funeral Mass for Leonard H. Lavallee of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-December 27, 2012-9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church 500 E. High. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Leo was born on June 11, 1931 to Albert and Marie-Anne LaVallee in St. Edouard de Fabre, Quebec, Canada and he passed away on December 19, 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Leo was a very devoted husband and father and grandfather. He loved his family and loved spending time with each of them. Leo was also an avid fisherman and hunter and always looked forward to going to the mountains. He also took great pride in his garden and loved to spend time in it. He will be greatly missed as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years: Lucie Lavallee; Children: Lorraine Chavez and husband Alfred; their children: Alyssa and Tessa Chavez; Daniel Lavallee and wife Lowanna, their children: Michael and Miranda LaVallee, Manon Mazzola and husband Rocky, Manon's son: Cody and wife Racheal; their children: Izzibella and Makayla Benavidez; Patrick Lavalle; his children, Patrick, Jr., Rosie and Crystal Lavallee; Patrick Jr's daughter: Janessa Lavallee; Crystal's son: Sylis Lawrence; and Marc Lavallee and wife Shay; their children: Chantel, Bailey and Jacob Lavallee; sisters: Solange Hays and Huguette Chali Foux.
He is preceded in death by his brothers: Gerald and Oscar Lavallee and Sisters: Marie Zombori and Georgette Apt.
Pallbearers will be: Rich Rivard, Cody Benavidez, Patrick Lavallee, Jr., Larry Grider, Richard McFadden, Michael Lavallee, Joe Lister and Jacob Lavallee.
