Alflen 66, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-January 14, 2014 from 5:30PM until 8:00 PM at 1417 Franciscan Ave. Grants, New Mexico. to celebrate Larry's life. Military Funeral will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado on Friday-January 17, 2014 at 10:15

Larry was born on July 28, 1947 in Beloit, Kansas and he passed away on January 8, 2014 in Grants, New Mexico. He retired from the Colorado National Guard as Lt. Colonel and was a Desert Storm Veteran.
His education included a B.A. in accounting and an M.B.A. in business administration from UNC. His career included a long term position as executive director for Zee Inc. in Gallup, New Mexico.
Larry is survived by his former spouse Elly Alflen of Grants, New Mexico; his three children and their spouses: Mary Ann and Mark Schneller of Castle Rock, Colorado, Erick and B.J. Alflen of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Ingrid and Brandon Gonzales of Milan, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Emily and Jake Schneller, Kyrsten, Ethan and Gracie Alflen, and Gabriella, Natalia and Sophia Gonzales; Great Grandchild: Elle Isabella Schneller; Two brothers: Terry Alflen and Randy Alflen and their families from Colorado.
Larry was preceded in death by both parents: Ralph Alflen and Wanda Bader-Alflen.
