Julian Brito

Rosary and Funeral Mass for Julian Brito 77 of Cubero, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-June 30, 2016-9:30 AM at St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial with Military Honors by the VFW Lodge 3221 will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.



Julian was born on June 4, 1939 in Moriarty, New Mexico and he went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his family by his side after a lengthy illness. Julian proudly served his country as a member of the US Marines and was a retired Uranium Miner and Gold Miner.



Julian most prized possessions were his family and friends. His passion was carpentry that he proudly passed on to his sons. Julian worked in the Uranium and Gold mining industry at Kerr McGee in New Mexico and Echo Mining in Colorado, Congress in Arizona and the Nevada Test Site.



He was united in holy matrimony to Florinda Chavez Brito on February 4, 1961. The union continues to be blessed with four children: Julie Martinez and husband Mark of Cuba, NM, Danny Brito and wife Holly of Las Vegas, NV, Shelly Martinez and husband Lawrence of Grants, NM and Steve Brito and companion Amy Jaramillo of Grants, NM; 14 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren; He is also survived by Sisters: Tillie Manning of Grants, NM, Mary Dominguez of Grants, NM and Rose Puga of Show Low, AZ; Brothers: Epemeno Brito of San Rafael, NM and Jimmy Brito of Belen, NM.



He is preceded in death by his Parents: Frank Brito and Floripa Brito; Brothers: Joe Brito, Luciano Brito and Herman Brito and Sister: Priscilla Gutierrez.
