Funeral Mass for Johnny David Rodriguez, Jr. 73 of San Mateo, New Mexico will be held on Monday-April 16, 2018-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the San Mateo Community Cemetery. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will celebrate.



A rosary will be held on Sunday-April 15, 2018-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Johnny was born on July 27, 1944 in Gallup, New Mexico and he passed away on April 9, 2018 in San Mateo, New Mexico. He was a retired Uranium Miner.



He is survived by his Loving Wife: Rosie "Salazar" Rodriguez of San Mateo, New Mexico; Sons: Johnny Rodriguez, III and wife Mellie of Questa, New Mexico and Freddie Rodriguez of San Mateo, New Mexico; Daughters: Canela Rodriguez of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Marie Rodriguez of Albuquerque, New Mexico , Josephine Otero and husband Fabian of San Mateo, New Mexico, Shanace Rodriguez of Phoenix, Arizona; Brother: Jimmy Rodriguez of Tucson, Arizona; Sisters: Patsy Suniga of Mesa, Arizona, Libby Rodriguez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Theresa Rodriguez of Phoenix, Arizona; 13 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his parents: John Rodriguez, Sr. and Lillian "Pino" Rodriguez; Sister: Kathy Montoya.



Pallbearers will be: Jonathan Rodriguez, Fabian Otero, Jr., Lorenzo Juarado, Julio Juarado, Jr., Christopher Rodriguez, Pablo Rodriguez, Fabian Otero, Chris Ortega, Victor Herrea, Edward Salazar.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bob Brown Ray Romero, Richard Quinones, Eloy Jaramillo, Tony Olveda, Lalo Chavez and Fito Hildago.
