Joe Saavedra

Funeral Mass for Joe Saavedra 82, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-October 17, 2013-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.



A Rosary will be held on Wednesday-October 16, 2013-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday-October 14, 2013. He was born in San Fidel, New Mexico on January 24, 1931 to Alberto and Elvira Saavedra. Joe loved and adored his family and friends and loved spending time with them all.



Joe is survived by his loving wife of 62; Margaret Saavedra; Son: Juan Saavedra and wife Peggy of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Daughters: Mary Jane Becerra and husband Frank of Grants, New Mexico, Shirley DeVargas and husband Anthony of Grants, New Mexico, Teri Doze and husband Ken of Kansas; Grandchildren: Gabriel Saavedra and wife Clarissa, Anthony DeVagas and wife Summer, Joseph Doze of Kansas, Kathleen Becerra, Sandra Valdez and husband Dino, Angelica Trujillo and companion Frank Chavez, Antionette DeVargas-Lopez and husband Gene, Debbie Otero and husband Benito, Monica Gabaldon and husband Robert, Jacqueline DeVargas and companion Carlos Otero, Elena Chavea and husband Andres, Tiffany DeVargas-Martinez and husband Gary, Danielle Doze and companion Daron Schulthies; 30 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his Parents: Alberto Saavedra and Elvira Montano Saavedra; Brothers: Joaquin and Gabe Aragon; Sisters: Alfides Abeyta and Susie Roman.



Pallbearers will be: Gabriel Saavedra, Anthony DeVargas, Joseph Doze, Debbie Otero, Kathleen Becerra and Antionette DeVargas-Lopez.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Sandra Valdez, Elena Chavez, Angelica Trujillo, Monica Gabaldon, Jacqueline DeVargas, Tiffany DeVargas-Martinez, Danielle Doze and all the Great Grandchildren.
