Joe Garcia

Funeral Mass for Joe A. Garcia, 79, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-July 12, 2007-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial with military Honors by the VFW Lodge 3221 at the Grants Memorial Park. Father Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.



Visitation will be held on Wednesday-July 11, 2007-12:00PM-5:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Wednesday-July 11, 2007-7:00 PM. He was a life time member of the American Legion Lodge 80 and the Disabled American Veterans.



Mr. Garcia was born on September 10, 1927 in Arboles, Colorado and passed away on July 8, 2007 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a Veteran of the US Army Serving during the Korean Conflict.



Joe is survived by his wife: Tonita Martinez Garcia of Grants, New Mexico; Daughter: Erin Garcia of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Fred N. Garcia & wife Lea of Archbald, Pennsylvania, Steve L. Garcia & wife Cari of Elko, Nevada, and Jim G. Garcia & wife Julie of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brothers: Toby Garcia of Grants, New Mexico and Joe Manuel Garcia of Los Lunas, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Rhyan & husband Sean McCann of Elko, Nevada, Joel Garcia of Boise, Idaho, Anna Garcia, of Archbald, Pennsylvania, Sara Garcia of Archbald, Pennsylvania.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Celistino Garcia and Sara Gallegos Garcia; Sister: Mary Chavez and a brother: Epiminio Garcia.



Pallbearers will be: Joel Garcia, Charlie Lujan, Antonio Gonzales, Raymond Garcia, John Garcia, and Isaac Salazar.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Joe M. Garica, Toby Garcia, Paul Garcia, Gabriel Gonzales, Sr., Delfino Martinez, Fred Padilla, Frank Hilliard, and George Romero
