Memorial Services for Jimmie Frank Villanueva 68, of Thoreau, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-August 14, 2012-10:00 AM at the Light House International Church, 2045 Westview Street in Gallup, New Mexico. Pastor Bill Overton will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the KC Hall.



Jimmy passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Gallup, New Mexico to Frances "Kika" Villanueva on March 9, 1944.



Jimmie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Corporal E-4 Marksman. He spent many years proudly serving his country. He retired after a long carreer with El Paso Natural Gas. He devoted much of his time and energy to his family and enjoyed hunting, shooting pool and playing with the Old Timers.



He is survived by his wife Frances Villanueva of 37 years; Daughters: Jessica Villanueva, Kristy Villanueva and fiance Marvin Maes; Son: Steven Villanueva and wife LaShanna; Grandchildren: Mercedes Lopez, Mario Terrazas, Shantel Delgarito, Tyler Silva, Isaiah Villanueva and Great Grandson: Nehemiah Terrazas; Brothers: Genaro Villanueva, Anthony Villanueva, Lawrence Villanueva all of Gallup, New Mexico; Sisters: Ramona Birch of Hermosa Beach, California, Soila Chavirra, Frances Romero both of Gallup, New Mexico and Charlotte Rangel of Bernalillo, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews..



He is preceded in death by his mother: Frances Villanueva; Sisters: Laura Martinez, Rosie Lima and Mary "Pepsi" Diaz; Brother: Toby Villanueva.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Isaiah Villanueva, Tyler Silva, Nehemiah Terrazas, Anthony Villanueva, Genaro Villanueva, Toby Villanueva, Genaro Villanueva, Vince Azua, Mario Terrazas, Kevin Escajeda, Fabian Talamante, and Herman Talamante.
