Services for Jasper Phil Harris 81 of Bloomfield, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-May 14, 2009-10:00 AM at the Cow Palace in Grants, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday-May 13, 2009-4:00PM-8:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Phil was born on May 5, 1928 in Bluewater, New Mexico and passed away on May 6, 2009 in Bloomfield, New Mexico.
Harris attended school in Grants. He moved to Farmington in 1996. He was a rancher and later became a pilot. Harris and his family owned the Cow Palace Western Wear Store. His latest venture is in a successful Commercial Cleaning business.
He is survived by his wife: Kimberly "Kim" Harris of Bloomfield, New Mexico; Children: Wayne Harris and wife Kathy of Thoreau, New Mexico, Tyra Van Bell and husband Jim of Farmington, New Mexico, Buck Harris and wife Julie of Aztec, New Mexico, Tonya Harris of Grants, New Mexico; Stepson: William Gann of Farmington, New Mexico; Brother: Andy Harris of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Spurlin Darby, Ty Darby, Tracy Black, Lisa Nunez, Casey Van Belle, Britny Padilla, JW Harris, Candy Harris, Who Harris, Betty Jo Harris.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: Virgil Harris and Carolyn Rought Harris; Son: Larry P. Harris; First Wife of 50 Years, Betty Harris; Grandson: Shea Padilla and Great Grandson: Jesse Quaid Darby.
