Funeral Services for Janet Nadine O'Conner 73 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Friday-December 7, 2018
11:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Candelaria Family Cemetery at Ice Caves, New Mexico.
Antonio Trujillo will conduct the Service and lead the family in Prayers.
Janet Nadine Candelaria O'Connor was born on December 7th 1944 in Phoenix Arizona to David and Cora Candelaria. She grew
up at the Ice Caves near Grants New Mexico and attended Grants High School. Janet attended Northern Arizona University
in Flagstaff Arizona and Northland Pioneer College in Holbrook Arizona. She achieved an Associate Degree in Early Childhood
Education.
Janet opened her own Preschool (Kiddie Korner Preschool) in Holbrook Arizona, where she taught for fifteen years.
She later opened another Preschool (Cinder Hill Preschool) at the Ices Caves. She also taught briefly at NMSU Preschool
(Creative Activities) in 2004. Janet was an advocate for children and their education for her entire adult life. She was a Teacher,
Girl Scout Leader, Writer, and Artist.
She is survived by her husband James, T. O'Connor and her three daughters Kathleen O'Connor, Marcie Bradley, Lora Marshall, two grandsons, Jacob Alford and Ryan Alford, two sisters Debbie Reinschmidt, and Betsy Reinschmidt.
Pallbearers will be: Jacob Alford, Ryan Alford, Danny Reinschmidt, Janet Reinschmidt, Kress Barton , Jimmy Candelaria.
